The purpose of CCS is to help develop interest in the cosmetic chemistry industry by exposing interested UCI students to the field and share opportunities in the industry. Through informational events and hands-on workshops, CCS aims to help interested students broaden their general knowledge on cosmetic chemistry, connect with industry professionals to gain insight on the field, and learn about common chemical ingredients and their roles in personal care products. CCS will focus on introducing the industry and preparing students for possible future careers in cosmetic science, but the organization will also emphasize the creativity, educational, and social aspects of the cosmetic chemistry industry.
